Since that day, Ruth has become a Living Proof of Hope to all people as a testimony that God continues to work in people's lives today. She is an example of what God can do and offers encouragement and hope for people who have loved ones in the Jehovah's Witness organization, or in any other cult religion. Yes, Ruth knows first-hand the fear and spiritual darkness that permeates people in the cults. She also knows the wonderful freedom and joy that God gives through His love, mercy, grace, and light. People who have been acquainted with Ruth can see the differences that God through Christ and by the Holy Spirit has made in her life. She has fully dedicated her life to spreading the gospel everywhere to everyone in a peaceable and effective way. Ruth's ministry has recently taken on a much wider aspect--God commissioned her to write a breakthrough book on Jehovah's Witnesses: Knock, Knock: Shedding light on Jehovah's Witness at the door. This is not just another book on the Watchtower Society to rehash previously published material. This is a how-to give a gospel/faith defense to anyone who asks manuel--especially those cults who engage in door-knocking evangelism. Although the main focus is on J.W.s, it can be used for others, as well. Ruth undertakes this task by carefully presenting the psychological and social aspects of becoming and living the life through the doctrines of this cult. She reveals how to use their beliefs and bible translation to plant a gospel seed for harvest. The hope is that it may result in hope, freedom from bondage, accurate knowledge, and salvation because of what Christ did on the cross. Most of all it glorifies God regardless of whether the gospel message is accepted or rejected. Ruth and her husband, James, attend the Wakarusa Missionary Church in Wakarusa, Indiana. She has a B.A in History, a minor in sociology with emphasis on religious institutions, and has taken Master's classes at A.M.B.S, Elkhart, IN., and at Bethel College, Mishawaka, IN on world religions and cults. Please read on to the next page and learn more about her current work through Knock, Knock for God's Kingdom and Harvest. |
